Final plug-in releases add support for 4D Server 64-bit

[25 Nov 11] The latest releases have been re-engineered for compatibility with 4D Server 12.2 64-bit (Windows). The new versions employ a new licensing mechanism that uses a separate plug-in, QLM, which provides services to all Escape plug-ins in your application.

Make sure to take a look at the updated documentation and keep in mind that no QT-based commands can be used in stored methods on the 64-bit 4D Server because QuickTime itself is a 32-bit technology.

Upgrade pricing no longer available

[26 July 10] Upgrade pricing for moving Escape plug-ins to the v11/v12-compatible versions, is no longer available.

QFree deprecated

[21 Nov 08] 4D 11 offers built-in support for regular expressions, thus deprecating third-party products offering similar functionality. QFree being one of these, we decided, in order to economize on resources and orientate the community towards using 4D-supplied solutions, to no longer maintain this cute freeware plug-in that has served so well for many years.
The QT atoms related commands of QFree, which are necessary for some advanced operations in QPix, survive in the QTAtoms plug-in that is part of the QPix 3.5 distribution package.

Rock-solid...

I haven't seen such rock-solid plug-ins for a long time. Even in the mummy structures I'm working on or fixing, they just rock. Thanks for developing QPix and QMedia!

Instrumental...

QPix has been instrumental to the development of our ERP software. Each year we use QPix to digitize thousands of documents. The Escape team managed to solve all our problems: our TWAIN driver did not meet all specifications so they worked with the developer of our TWAIN driver and provided us with a working solution. Thanks for everything, Escape!

Wonderful tech support...

I would like to put on record what wonderful tech support Escape provides for QPix. They sent us special logging versions to pinpoint the problem -a faulty HP driver-, then a fix which worked around the problem and we are now happily scanning again. I can only recommend both the company and the solid products they make. Their professional attitude and technical expertise result in a winning combination.

Indispensable...

With QPix we can develop powerful and complete image-processing applications. We can capture images from video sources, create multipage TIFF, apply filters, generate high-quality thumbnails... Our customers just can't give it up. In one word, QPix is indispensable. Thanks, Escape!

No better way...

There is no better way to handle images from within 4D than with the QPix plugin.
