Returns the number of images in a multi-image container.

Some file formats may contain multiple images in a single file. QuickTime 4 currently supports the following multi-image file formats:

• TIFF files with multiple images
• Photoshop files with multiple layers
• FlashPix files with multiple resolutions

This command returns the number of images contained in the image container (file, URL, or BLOB) that is associated with the importer instance specified by importerRef. If importerRef is not a reference to a valid graphics importer instance, error qpx_paramErr is returned.

Parameter numImages receives the number of images.

Note: Individual images in a multi-image file may have different characteristics (width and height, depth, etc).
